Exploring the Hidden Beauty of Lapazan Plateau in Trabzon

Today, I want to share with you my amazing experience of visiting a hidden beauty in Trabzon, Turkey. Trabzon is a beautiful city on the Black Sea coast, famous for its natural wonders, historical sites, and cultural richness. But there is also a secret place that not many tourists know about: the Lapazan Plateau.

The Lapazan Plateau is located in the Akçaabat district, about 50 km from Trabzon. It is one of the many plateaus that Trabzon is famous for. A plateau is a highland area that is surrounded by mountains and has a flat or gently sloping surface. Plateaus are very popular in Trabzon, especially in summer, when people escape from the heat and humidity of the city and enjoy the fresh and cool air of the mountains.
I visited the Lapazan Plateau with a local guide, who told me the story and the features of the plateau. We drove along a winding road that offered stunning views of the green valleys and the blue sea. The road was quite steep and narrow, but the guide was very skilled and careful. After about an hour, we reached the plateau, which was at an altitude of 1800 meters.
The Lapazan Plateau was like a hidden paradise. It was covered with lush grass, colorful flowers, and pine trees. There were also some wooden houses, where the locals lived or rented to visitors. The plateau had a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, and the only sounds were the birds singing and the wind blowing. The guide told me that the plateau was also home to some endemic plant and animal species, such as the Trabzon violet and the Caucasian squirrel.

The most exciting part of the visit was when we went to see the Lapazan Lake, which was a small and shallow lake that was formed by the melting snow. The lake was crystal clear and reflected the blue sky and the white clouds. The guide told me that the lake was very cold, but some brave people still swam in it. He also said that the lake was a popular spot for fishing, as it had many trout fish.
The Lapazan Plateau was a hidden gem that deserved more attention and appreciation. It was a place where you could enjoy the beauty and the tranquility of nature, and learn about the history and the culture of the region. If you are looking for a unique and unforgettable adventure in Trabzon, I highly recommend you to visit the Lapazan Plateau. You will not regret it!

I hope you liked it. What did you think of this blog post? I’m waiting for your comments. 😊
